2023 Happy New Years

The year 2023 is finally here. New Year means New beginnings. New challenges. New Change. New resolutions. But what will make this year different from 2022, 2021, 2019, etc.? What are you expecting for this year that did not happen in the previous years?

For the longest, there was a new excitement when the clock struck midnight as the New Year rolled in with cheers, laughter, and balloons. And I would reminisce the year with tears rolling down my face to promise myself, "This year will be different," As if every detail that happened in the previous year would magically disappear. But that wasn't the case at all. All I was doing was neglecting the actual reality.

I have lied and cheated myself becasue I needed change that involves consistency, effort, and discipline, none of which I had prioritized. Those three are necessary to get ANYTHING accomplished. And at the end of 2022, I realized my mind is the leading factor of my success, accomplishment, health, and well-being. If it wasn't, 2022 was doomed to repeat itself. With the mind constantly in the wrong setting, there is a matter of time before failure is only a step away, leading to disappointment, regret, frustration, and anger that can and will resolve to settle.

For this year to change, to be different, and for your expectations to shift will require a MENTAILY CHANGE! If I am being transparent, there are still 24 hours, seven days, Sunday-Saturday, 12 am - 12 pm, 365 days. The only that has changed is the 3 for 2023.

So, what are you working towards to make today better than yesterday? What are you preparing for to have a different result? What are you going to do differently to see a different result? Becasue if you come in tomorrow with the same mindset, same attitude, same perspective, and the exact words, and walk, NOTHING WILL CHANGE. You'll still be in the same situation, the same circumstances, and the idea that nothing works in your favor. It is all up to you to change your tomorrow. January 1st, 2023, is a new day with one number that's changed; everything else remained the same, so what are you doing to change the rest?

It's all a matter of consistency, effort, and discipline.
